Madison S. Brinkman

Madison S. Brinkman is an Associate Attorney with Hegemann & Zimmerman Co., L.P.A. where she engages in the general practice of law, representing individuals in a variety of legal matters. Her particular areas of interest include domestic relations, custody, business transactions, estate planning and administration, adoption, landlord law, and real estate.

 

Madison is also an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney. As an Assistant Prosecutor, Madison represents the Shelby County Department of Job and Family Services, Children Services Division, in cases of alleged child abuse, neglect, and dependency. Madison represents the Children Services Division at all stages of litigation from adjudication through disposition and termination of the case. The goal in such cases is to ensure the safety and well-being of the children of Shelby County. Madison also handles the prosecution of all felony sex offenses that occur within Shelby County. She also serves as the Shelby County Law Librarian and the Village Solicitor for the Village of Fort Loramie.


Madison was admitted to the practice of law in Ohio in 2019. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Social Work from The Ohio State University, graduating cum laude. Madison earned her law degree from the Ohio Northern University Pettit College of Law. While in law school, Madison served as Citations Editor on the Ohio Northern University Law Review. Madison also worked as a Teaching Assistant for Criminal Law and a Research Assistant.

 

Madison is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association and the Shelby County Bar Association. Madison currently serves as the President of the Alpha Community Center Board and the Secretary of the Clear Creek Farm Board. She also serves as a member on the Sidney- Shelby County YMCA Board, Child Development Committee for the Sidney-Shelby County YMCA, and Crimestoppers Board.
