Casey Kusel is a Shelby County native with a diverse background in both criminal and civil law. After graduating from Anna High School in 1994, she attended The Ohio State University where she obtained a degree in Criminology and Criminal Justice. Since earning her law degree in 2002 from The University of Dayton School of Law, Casey has practiced both criminal and civil law. She has lived in Ohio, Washington, D.C., Illinois and Texas. She recently moved back to Shelby County and joined Hegemann & Zimmerman Co., LPA as an associate attorney. 

Her areas of practice include probate and estate administration, wills and estate planning, guardianships, adoption, real estate matters and general civil litigation.

Casey is also an assistant prosecutor with the Shelby County Prosecutor’s Office. Her duties include misdemeanors that occur in Shelby County as well as township and other civil matters.
